Town Planning

Though funding for the Greenwich Bicycle Master Plan ($50k) has been eliminated from this year's proposed budget, we have been assured by the Department of Public Works that shoulder striping, storm drain hazards and other improvements will continue to be made along with any road repairs or paving projects on local (town-owned) roads. It is possible that some stimulus funds may be applied to such projects. Greenwich Safe Cycling will keep you informed, and will reach out for supporting voices from time to time.

Now is one of those times when we need your help. Here is a link to a "Complete Streets" bill that is being considered by our state legislature, as similar bills are in states across the country. This legislation will greatly strengthen our efforts to make bicycling a safe travel and recreational option in Greenwich.
